Government schools in South Africa have the greatest need for private sector reinforcements.

• The average student to teacher ratio in KZN public high schools is 45:1 in Grades 8 and 9, with some classes being as large as 65:1.
• Due to large classes teachers are inundated with marking and so don’t have the time to help students with revision beyond class.
• There is also a challenge of under-resourced classrooms, which lack technological requirements such as projectors and speakers.
